Three rounds – School, Regional, National and Selection tour

for IBO

Mainly multiple choice

Two-week theory and practice

Lectures and textbooks (i.e. Campbell)

Awarding of students, prizes:

Entrance of laureates without examinations in universities
with major in Biology, Molecular Biology, etc.

Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, Private foundations

Role of Ministry of education:

Full support of NBO and partly travel expenses for IBO

National competition rules:

According to National Competition Regulations, the top 80
participants selected from the Regional rounds compete in the
National tour. Selection tour among the top 10 from the National Olympiad

1999 - 1 Silver, 3 Bronze

1998 - 3 Bronze

Standard school year: from September to June.

Biology hours/week: minimum 2, maximum 6.
