Georgian National Educational Olympiad (in Biology)


Ministry of Education and Science, National Examinations Center (NAEC) sends official letters to regional Resource Centers and Schools.


Georgian  National Olympiad include three rounds:

1- Local site Round (competition among school students (9th, 10th and 11th -12th classes) - take place in December

Near 7 000 competitors participate in the Local site Round.

2- Regional round (competition among school students of 9th, 10th and 11th -12th classes - winners of the Local site Round) take place in March.

Regional round includes 645 competitors.

3- National round (competition among school students of 9th, 10th and 11th -12th classes - winners of the Regional round) take place in April.

National round includes about 150 competitors from all Georgia.


Georgian National Olympiad program includes 75 questions. The program for the 9th class covers Human Physiology, for the 10th classes - Genetics and Biotechnology, for the 11th-12th classes - General Biology.


Prior each Round all students is being trained individually.

 

School handbooks and special biology literature


After the 2nd and 3rd rounds diplomas and prizes are awarded to the best students.

All rounds of Georgian National Olympiad are broadly covered in National media.

Georgian National Educational Olympiad (in Biology) is financed by State Budget.


 

An organizer of Georgian National Olympiad is Ministry of Education and Science and National Examinations Center (NAEC).

from From September, 14 to To June, 18;.
minimum 9th class – 2 hours in the week; 10th class - 2 hours in the week; 11th class - 2 hours in the week; 12th class - 2 hours in the week;, maximum 9th class –2-3 - hours in the week (Lyceum and Gymnasium); 10th class - 3-4 hours in the week (Lyceum and Gymnasium); 11th class - 3-5 hours in the week (Lyceum and Gymnasium). 12th class - 3-5 hours in the week (Lyceum and Gymnasium)..
