Organization & structure

Georgian National Olympiad include three rounds:1- Local site Round (competition among school students ( 10th and 11th -12th classes) - take place in December

2- Regional round (competition among school students of 0th and 11th -12th classes - winners of the Local site Round) take place in March.

3- National round (competition among school students of 10th and 11th -12th classes - winners of the Regional round) take place in April. National round includes about 100 competitors from all Georgia.

Number of students in first round

30000-40000 competitors participate in the Local site Round.

Tests

Georgian National Olympiad program includes 75 questions. The program covers Human Physiology, for Genetics and Biotechnology, General Biology.

Training

Prior each Round all students are being trained individually.

Study materials

School handbooks and special biology literature.

Awards & prizes

After the 3rd round diplomas and prizes are awarded to the best students

School students from 10th, 11th and 12th classes are participate in the NBO

Biology hours/week

Minimum 2 hours in the week in publics schools and maximum 3-4 hours in the week in privative schools.
